GEESE

Most (occidental) domestic geese are descended from the grey goose, but are no longer migratory birds.
Geese are very social.
They live monogamously; if the mate dies, it is only replaced after a period of mourning.
Waterfowl can reach a biblical age of 40 years!
During the day they spend most of their time on land, but they definitely need water nearby, to take in food and to care for their plumage.
